How The Nrl Season 2018 Is Expected To Shape Up

March 28, 2018 Sports

The 2018 NRL season is about to start and while analysing the future market for the season, nothing appears to be much different. Some improvements from the Raiders can be expected after they had an extremely disappointing season and Rabbitohs might trend upwards after going through a season that was ravaged by injuries

How The Nrl Season 2018 Is Expected To Shape Up.The Storm has been considered the stalwart for quite some time now and the team would continue to be the same this upcoming season as well. As the NRL season gambling has already begun, let’s see what teams are the safest to bet money on.

The Banker Team

If truth be told, there is no more reliable and trustworthy team in Australian sports than Melbourne Storm. The team has always made it to the finals except for the one time when they were kicked out. Moreover, they’ve won more than 14 games every season since the year 2006 and they’ve always maintained a position in the top four in 10 of the last 12 seasons. The loss of their player Cooper Cronk is indeed quite big, but people expect that every sign tells them that Brodie Croft will be emerging as the next big player in the team. Also, the purchase of Sam Kasiano and the return of Ryan Hoffman are some of the added advantages the team has. Thus, it’s expected that the invincible Melbourne Storm will continue winning as Cam Smith, Bellamy and Billy Slater are all in the team.

Team That Will Be Rising Up

As the predictions for NRL season continue it was quite obvious that Canberra Raiders were a huge disappointment during the last season as the team ended up winning only 11 games and finished on the 10th position. However, the important stat that show where the Raiders truly stand was their performance in close games. The team finished an NRL worst score in games (2-8). The case in point being that the teams with such bad record in close games always bounce back and the Raiders aren’t that far below to rise from. Many think that the loss of its star hooker Josh Hodgson is big, but it isn’t that crucial either considering that he used to overplay his hand and frustrated his halves. Sam Williams has been bought back and will bring more organization within the team. With Blake Austin, Joey Leilua and Shannon Boyd in the team, the Canberra Raiders are being predicted to make it to either in or just outside the top four.

The Sliding Team

The Manly Sea Eagles was the team that surprised the most in 2017. It landed on the sixth position after starting from being predicted to land somewhere in the bottom four. This year however the team isn’t being predicted to perform that well. Blake Green, an underrated player of the team has left for the Warriors and Trent Barrett is certainly in no form either. Also, the team happens to have a salary scale scandal over their heads.

All in all, there’s no better way to bet in Rugby League than to bet on the sizeable home underdogs in the four opening rounds of the season. The Canterbury and the Wests Tigers are definite bets in the round 1, the Wests Tigers and Gold Coast in round 3, and the Wests Tigers in round 4 seem to be good bets at this early stage.
